Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour

Work Location: In person

Requirements / Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing.
• Current Practical/Vocational Nurse license
• Current CPR Certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification preferred
• Pediatric experience preferred
• One (1) year experience in an acute care setting or equivalent experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Negative tuberculin skin test, blood assay, or chest x-ray within the last 12 months
• Physical within the last 180 days
• Current, valid state-issued driver's license or State ID

Daily Tasks Could Include but Are Not Limited To:

• G-Tube Management
• Trach Care
• Ventilator Care
• Seizure Management
• Medication Administration
• Catheter Care
• Patient Assessments
• Electronic Documentation

Responsibilities

• Monitor clients ’ conditions and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and education.
• Observe and interpret the client’s symptoms and communicate to the reporting nurse.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care Plans of Care for their client.
• Adjust and administer client’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders.
• Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds, etc.).
• Provide instant medical care in emergency situations.
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for clients and their families.
• Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences, etc.

Our Private Duty nurses provide 1:1 patient care and may work with pediatric and adult patients with G-tubes, trachs, and/or ventilators. We will work to find a schedule that works for YOU and YOUR availability.

Field nurses will work closely with the agency, family, and other service providers to ensure the best comprehensive care for the client.
