Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chiropractic Assistant/Front Desk professional to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support clinical operations while delivering exceptional patient service. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, medical knowledge, and a passion for healthcare support.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients efficiently while maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Manage appointment scheduling using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth.
- Verify insurance coverage, including health insurance and Medicare, ensuring accurate insurance information and documentation review.
- Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical history and updating electronic health records (EHR).
- Handle phone communication with professionalism, providing clear information and scheduling assistance through multi-line phone systems.
- Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies and proper filing procedures.
- Support clinical staff by managing clerical tasks such as data entry, billing, and coding using CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes for medical billing and documentation review.
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office management or administrative support within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation review processes, and health information management standards.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and office management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person.
- Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and handle billing procedures related to health insurance claims.
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
