Power BI Data Analyst / Data Engineer

Team Red Dog is seeking an experienced Power BI Data Analyst / Data Engineer for a long-term remote opportunity supporting our enterprise data solutions provider client in the global supply chain and data center planning space. This role blends Power BI reporting, Python and SQL development, and Azure data platform integration to drive real-time planning, scheduling, and operational insights across a mission-critical supply chain environment.Top Required Skills (Must Haves):Power BI with strong DAX, data modeling, and performance optimization experience for enterprise reporting.Python and SQL for data transformation, automation, and advanced analytics workflows.Azure data ecosystem including Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, and OneLake for data integration and orchestration.4 years of hands-on experience in data analytics, reporting, or data engineering roles.Opportunity Overview:This role offers the opportunity to directly support global supply chain planning and field service operations through advanced analytics and automation. You will work across Power BI, Python, SQL, and the Azure ecosystem to enable smarter planning, scheduling, and operational performance. The work is highly visible, technically challenging, and closely aligned with real-world execution in large-scale infrastructure and data center environments.How you will make an impact:• Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards for planning, scheduling, and labor tracking.• Build and maintain Python and SQL scripts for data processing, automation, and reporting.• Integrate data across Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Data Factory, Synapse, and other Azure services.• Partner with program managers, engineers, and UX teams to translate business requirements into analytics solutions.• Support planning and scheduling workflows aligned to operational execution.• Assist with data governance, metadata management, and data quality standards.• Contribute to tooling synchronization, including Primavera P6 where applicable.• Explore emerging technologies such as Power Apps and agentic AI to streamline workflows.The expertise you bring:• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.• 4 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or data engineering.• Advanced proficiency in Power BI including semantic modeling and performance tuning.• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.• Working knowledge of Azure data services including Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, and OneLake.• Understanding of planning and scheduling best practices; PMP certification is a plus.• Strong problem-solving ability in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.What makes a candidate highly successful in this role:Successful candidates bring a balance of deep technical expertise and operational awareness.
