What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data / BI Analyst position at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc.?
- Assist in the creation of dashboards that monitor performance and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Participate in gathering feedback from users and iterate on visualizations to enhance usability and impact
- Assist with documenting visualization methodologies and creating a library of visual assets
- Work directly with experienced professionals and gain insights into the strategic role of data in decision-making
- Hone their technical skills in data visualization and programming while working on real-world projects and have a direct impact on how teams understand and utilize data, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Currently pursuing or possesses a degree in Data Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and visualize complex datasets.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Creative mindset with an eye for design and aesthetics in data presentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Ability to work multiple projects in parallel.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as R or Python.
- Familiarity with GitHub for version control and collaborative projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint
- Proficient in creating clear and concise documentation for processes and procedures.
