Voice Preservation Associate
Location: New Orleans, LA
The Voice Preservation Associate (VPA) supports people living with ALS in preserving their voice and personal messages through structured, technology-based workflows. This is a task-based role focused on guiding individuals through the steps of voice and message backing, including scheduling, account set up, and follow ups to ensure process completion.
This role operates within a clinically informed model, where Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) provide clinical direction and case oversight. VPAs do not provide clinical services, but play a critical role in helping people with ALS and their care partners successfully complete the process.
This role includes structured training and growth milestones.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Contact clients to schedule voice and message banking sessions
- Guide clients through account setup for identified vendors and platforms
- Troubleshoot technical problems
- Provide clear, step-by-step technical support during sessions
- Track and confirm appointment dates and outcomes in Dynamics
- Conduct ongoing outreach to ensure clients complete the voice/message banking process
- Schedule follow-up sessions as needed until completion
- Support audio recording workflows and basic troubleshooting
- Communicate with clients, caregivers, and team members in a timely, professional manner
- Maintain clear, centralized communication to avoid duplication or confusion
- Escalate questions or concerns to SLPs or leadership when appropriate
- Complete assigned tasks from SLPs in Dynamics CRM
- Create and manage follow-up tasks until scheduling and completion are confirmed
- Track appointment dates, outcomes, and next steps
- Document all interactions clearly and accurately
- Coordinate headset shipments when assigned
- Provide basic guidance on equipment setup (non-clinical)
- Educate pALS, cALS, and outside organizations about Team Gleason’s programs and services.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Clear, compassionate communication skills
- Ability to work independently and follow structured workflows and processes
- Comfort with technology and learning new tools quickly
- Attention to detail in documentation and follow-through
Preferred:
- Background in healthcare, customer support, or assistive technology
- Experience providing remote customer services
- Experience providing remote technical services
- Bachelor’s degree
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range $43,000-$45,000
