What are the responsibilities and job description for the Independent Contracted New Deck Driver position at Team DriveAway?
Job Description:
Drivers must be on time to pick-up and drop-off locations and complete all paperwork in full when transporting our loads. Drivers can pick the loads they would like to transport but must remain active and transport 3-5 New Deck loads for us each month. Drivers must have their own tools and safety chains to undeck trucks. We can provide drivers with a list of items needed when they qualify.
Drivers must keep, and turn in, accurate and daily DOT driver logs using the MOTIVE app while contracted with us. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAPER LOGS! Drivers must check in with their dispatcher at least 1 time each week, even when they are not transporting one of our loads. This is an Independent Contractor Driving Position, not a company or Owner/Operator Position.
It is an OTR job, NOT A LOCAL or REGIONAL driving position. Job Requirements:
Must have CDL Class A with Double/Triple Endorsement. Must have at least 2 full years of Verifiable OTR CMV driving experience and at least 1 full year of verifiable un-decking experience within the last 3 years. Must have relatively clean reports and employment history. Must have knowledge of DOT HOS rules and regulations and keep daily, up to date DOT logs using the MOTIVE app while running for us.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAPER LOGS! Must turn in all paperwork and documents on time and have great communication skills. Must be in weekly contact with your dispatcher even if you are not transporting for us at that time. Must be at pickup and drop off locations on time.
Must behave in a positive and professional manner at all times. This is an Independent Contractor Driving Position, not a company or Owner/Operator Position. It is an OTR job, NOT A LOCAL or REGIONAL driving position. Wage Range: 1.05 - 1.10 per mile
General Description of Benefits: Same day pay is available when requirements are met. New Deck loads may qualify for a travel allowance if pick-up and drop-off are in specific locations. Travel allowance may start at $250 and up. We do not arrange travel for our drivers.
Drivers may still need to pay out of pocket for some of their travel expenses. All fuel, tolls and permits are reimbursed with proof of receipts. Fuel costs must match mileage of load when reimbursement is calculated. We offer bonus payout programs such as Referral Bonus, Clean Inspection Bonus, Mileage Bonus, Load Bonus, and Safety Bonus.
Drivers must meet certain criteria to qualify for each payout bonus program.
