SPECIMEN COLLECTOR
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for collecting specimens for testing including urine, hair, saliva, and breath alcohol tests for TEAM customers located at the customer’s facility. An effective team member has a basic understanding of the testing performed by TEAM on behalf of our customers, have excellent communication skills and ability to present TEAM professionally to customers.
This is an in-person full-time position in Fremont, California. The hours for this position will be 7:00pm - 7:00am.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs onsite collection for drug & alcohol testing of urine, hair, saliva, breath specimens as needed onsite for TEAM customers in adherence to defined testing protocol
  • Ensure sufficient collection supplies are fully stocked for weekly needs for onsite testing scheduled
  • Provide feedback and communication with customers on the logistics of testing protocol
  • Assist TEAM customers with questions and needs as needed
  • Maintains required paperwork, scans, and files daily to ensure proper reporting and records
  • Assist with after-hours testing in the surrounding area as needed by TEAM customers
  • Assist all departments as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Experience:
    • High School Diploma with 1 year of industry experience (preferred), but not required
  • Computer Skills:
    • High-level knowledge of business-related computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat/PDFs)
  • Other:
    • Broad understanding of strategic planning and production outcome
  • Soft Skills Required:
    • Communication: Communicates instructions and information clearly, calmly, and professionally with donors, clients, and team members.
    • Attention to Detail: Demonstrates strong accuracy in documentation, chain‑of‑custody procedures, and compliance requirements.
    • Organization & Time Management: Maintains an orderly workflow, prioritizes tasks effectively, and manages high-volume clinic or onsite environments with efficiency.
    • Customer Service & Empathy: Provides respectful, judgment-free experience for donors, using empathy and professionalism to support individuals who may be anxious or unfamiliar with testing procedures.
    • Adaptability: Adjusts smoothly to schedule changes, onsite environments, or unexpected situations while maintaining compliance and professionalism.
    • Conflict Resolution: De-escalates difficult or emotional situations with donors using tact, patience, and clear communication.
    • Integrity & Professional Judgment: Upholds confidentiality, neutrality, and the highest ethical standards in specimen handling and interactions.
    • Teamwork & Collaboration: Works effectively with internal staff, onsite teams, employers, and external partners to support seamless operations.

  • Work Environment:
    • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with government, organization, and department policies
    • Demonstrate reliability in supporting TEAM attendance standards as attendance and punctuality are key to the success of all
    • Utilization of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, various software platforms, and other technology
    • You must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
    • You must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
