What You'll Do as an Iron Worker
- Assemble structural steel components and metal decking for commercial and institutional construction projects.
- Work collaboratively to install steel members, decking systems, and related materials according to project specifications and safety standards, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on time.
- Bolt, bridge, and weld structural steel components to help create safe, durable building frameworks.
- Operate boom lifts, forklifts, and other equipment used to complete steel erection work.
- Load, unload, and Transport materials, tools, and equipment to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Drive company vehicles and help transport crew members to and from job sites when needed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
- Participate in company-provided training programs and continually develop your skills in steel construction, welding, safety, and equipment operation.
