Position Summary:
The Collision Center Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of collision repair operations at Team Chevrolet GMC of Salisbury. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership to drive operational efficiency, profitability, customer satisfaction, and team development within a high-volume collision center.
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong background in collision repair operations, insurance relations, production management, and financial performance. This individual will oversee all phases of the repair process and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and manufacturer standards.
This facility maintains active DRP relationships with major insurance carriers, including State Farm and USAA, providing consistent repair volume and business stability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the collision center, ensuring efficient workflow and production
- Manage all phases of the repair process from estimate through delivery
- Lead, develop, and retain collision center staff including technicians, estimators, and support personnel
- Monitor and manage production KPIs including cycle time, severity, and efficiency metrics
- Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and minimize rework or comebacks
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures to improve consistency and productivity
- Partner with insurance adjusters and carriers to manage approvals, supplements, and claims processes
- Maintain and improve DRP relationships with major carriers
- Manage departmental financial performance including revenue, gross profit, labor efficiency, and expenses
- Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, returns, and inventory control
- Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all safety regulations
- Collaborate with dealership leadership to support overall business objectives and growth

Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Business Management, or related field preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a collision repair environment
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a collision center or body shop management role
- Proven success in improving production efficiency, cycle time, and profitability
- Experience working with insurance carriers and DRP programs
- Experience managing budgets and analyzing financial performance
