Job Purpose:
- The Body Shop Technician at Team Chevrolet GMC of Salisbury is responsible for performing high-quality repairs and refinishing of vehicles to restore them to their original condition. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damage and determine repair needs.
- Perform body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural repairs, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Refinish vehicles by matching paint colors, applying primers, and using spray guns and other equipment to achieve a flawless finish.
- Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure timely completion of repairs and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Provide accurate estimates and documentation for repairs and refinishing work.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair processes and answer any questions they may have.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training in automotive repair or body shop work is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an automotive body shop environment.
- Proven track record of successfully completing vehicle body repairs and refinishing tasks.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in using body shop tools and equipment, including sanders, welders, and paint sprayers.
