Position Summary
The Territory Manager is responsible for managing and expanding a defined sales territory with a strong commitment to a results-driven mindset. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic who deliveries excellent customer service in a variety of activities and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The candidate MUST reside within the assigned territory.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve revenue and market share goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with HVAC contractors
- Provide product presentations, technical training, and support to customers
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends; adjust sales strategy accordingly
- Execute marketing programs with customers
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product management, and operations to support territory needs
- Be accountable for results
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve any customer issues promptly
Preferred Skills
- 3 years of experience in HVAC
- Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication
- Ability to be a self-starter capable of working independently or with a team
- Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity
- Able to pass a drug test and background screening
Education
- College degree preferred, but not required
- HVAC Certifications preferred, but not required
Working Conditions
Primarily field-based with frequent customer visits. A branch location allocates a working space which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Travel required (up to 80%) within the assigned region. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
