Overview
TEAL Irrigation is building a high-performance irrigation organization and is looking for a Lead Irrigation Technician to own field operations. This is a hands-on role with leadership potential for someone who takes pride in doing things the right way, solving problems independently, and holding a high standard for themselves and the team. Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Daytime service routes
- Typical workdays range from 8–10 hours depending on the season
- Expected hours: 30–50 hours per week during peak season
What You’ll Own
- Diagnose, repair, and optimize residential and commercial irrigation systems
- Perform start-ups, audits, repairs, and winterizations with minimal oversight
- Troubleshoot valves, wiring, controllers, lateral lines, and system performance issues
- Lead irrigation installations, upgrades, and system modifications
- Ensure work is completed right the first time—no shortcuts, no sloppy fixes
- Lead, train, and hold technicians accountable to quality and production standards
- Set daily priorities, routes, and expectations in the field
- Communicate clearly with clients and explain problems and solutions with confidence
- Maintain accurate job notes, materials tracking, and billing inputs
- Keep trucks, tools, and inventory clean, organized, and ready
- Identify problems in the field and bring solutions—not just issues
- Support job scoping, basic estimating, and identifying upsell opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of irrigation service, repair, and installation experience – install only experience need not apply.
- Ability to independently diagnose irrigation system issues and complete repairs correctly
- Proven ability to lead or take ownership in the field
- Strong communication with customers and team members
- High standards for quality, efficiency, and professionalism
- Consistent reliability, punctuality, and preparedness
- Comfortable working outdoors in all Colorado conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred (Not Required)
- Irrigation certifications (CIT, CLIA)
- Estimating or quoting experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience with light equipment

- A “clock in, clock out, do the bare minimum” job

Compensation & Benefits
- $32–$42 per hour depending on experience

Pay: $32.00 - $42.00 per hour
