As an Environmental Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, advancing sustainability initiatives, and partnering with operations to drive environmental excellence across gas processing and midstream assets. Job Duties:
- Environmental Compliance & Reporting
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and company policies
- Assist with Title V and NSR permitting, including required reporting and certifications
- Gather and manage data for regulatory programs (e.g., CERCLA, EPCRA, SARA, LDAR, GHG)
- Support SPCC compliance, including spill response, remediation, and reporting
- Program Support & Auditing
- Assist in implementing and maintaining environmental programs and procedures
- Participate in compliance audits and support corrective actions
- Maintain organized environmental records and documentation
- Communicate updates on compliance status and environmental performance
- Operational Support
- Partner with operations and maintenance teams to integrate environmental best practices
- Assist with environmental reviews and permitting for projects
- Support waste management and remediation activities
- Act as a point of contact for regulatory interactions and inspections
- Develop knowledge of natural gas processing and compression operations
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent)
- Entry-level candidates welcome; senior consideration for 7 years of experience
- Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or consulting environments
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance processes
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel overnight as needed
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Reliable attendance and commitment to safety
