North Scott is looking to hire a Secretary at the Jr. High School.
This is a 12 month position, 8 hrs./day.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma with Associates Degree or higher is preferred.
- Experience in accounting or bookkeeping, or demonstrated competence in tasks assigned preferred.
- Experience utilizing technology effectively.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
JOB GOAL: To positively greet and interact with stakeholders in person, electronically and via phone, and contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the school office through providing administrative support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with telephone receptionist duties in the front office, and welcome visitors and arrange for their needs.
- Maintain proficiency in the use of computer software.
- Assist with the collection of student fees and maintenance of student accounts payable.
- Process purchase orders and monitor budgets for all school accounts.
- Enter money into student lunch accounts.
- Make bank deposits.
- Assist with maintaining student records, scheduling, and fundraising events.
- Perform basic maintenance of office copiers and printers.
- Order office supplies for teachers and office staff.
- Order and set up food for Professional Development days and Caregiver/Teacher Conferences, as needed.
- Assist in handling other duties in the absence of other office personnel.
- Administer first aid and dispense medication.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by building administration and pertinent staff.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month year. Salary established by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated per contract language.
