Job Summary:
The Classroom Teacher plans and delivers effective instruction aligned to state standards, creates a safe and engaging classroom environment, and works collaboratively to support the academic and social-emotional development of all students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver daily instruction aligned with curriculum and standards.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
Develop and maintain a positive and safe classroom climate.
Assess student progress using formative and summative methods.
Communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues.
Implement accommodations and modifications for students with IEPs and 504 plans.
Utilize instructional technology to enhance teaching and learning.
Create and maintain accurate student records, grades, and documentation.
Participate in team meetings, PLCs, and professional development.
Manage classroom behavior using school-wide expectations and strategies.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
Support student well-being.
Incorporate culturally responsive practices into instruction.
Collaborate with interventionists, specialists, and paraprofessionals.
Maintain up-to-date lesson plans and substitute plans.
Prepare and participate in parent-teacher conferences.
Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, and during school activities.
Monitor and report student attendance and participation.
Comply with all district policies, ethical guidelines, and legal requirements.
Maintain positive, respectful relationships with students and staff.
Report safety concerns or facilities issues to administration promptly.
Model and reinforce school behavior expectations and district professional expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
Salary : $50,000 - $75,000
