7-12 Part Time Athletic Director
Nashua-Plainfield Community School District is seeking a part time 7-12 Athletic Director to provide leadership and coordination for our school activities programs. This position plays a key role in promoting a positive, educationally based athletic experience that supports student development, sportsmanship, and academic success.
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate all athletic schedules and contests
Secure officials and communicate with opposing schools
Supervise home athletic events
Assist with hiring, mentoring, and evaluating coaches
Ensure compliance with district policies and governing organizations including the Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) and Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU)
Oversee equipment inventory and facility usage
Promote strong communication with students, parents, and coaches
Support a culture of sportsmanship, character development, and academic accountability
Qualifications:
Iowa coaching authorization or administrative license preferred
Previous coaching and/or activities leadership experience preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to work collaboratively with administration, coaches, and community members
