The Paraeducator supports classroom teachers in providing instruction and supervision to students in a general education setting. This role assists with academic, behavioral, and organizational support to help ensure a positive and productive learning environment for all students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities and lesson implementation
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to reinforce learning concepts
- Help supervise students in the classroom, hallways, lunchroom, recess, and other school settings
- Support classroom management and positive student behavior
- Assist with preparing instructional materials and organizing classroom resources
- Monitor and document student progress as directed by the teacher
- Provide support to students with diverse learning needs
- Assist students with organization, task completion, and study skills
- Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success
