Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support teachers and enhance the educational experience for students, particularly in special education settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and be skilled in behavior management, lesson planning, and effective communication. This role is essential for fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

Duties

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to individual student needs.
• Support students with special education requirements by providing one-on-one assistance and facilitating their learning.
• Help manage classroom behavior by employing positive reinforcement strategies and promoting a respectful learning atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
• Observe and document student progress, contributing valuable insights during team meetings.
• Prepare classroom materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
• Foster a nurturing environment that encourages social interaction and emotional growth among students.

Requirements

• Experience or training in special education or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
• Previous experience in childcare or educational settings is advantageous.
