Harris-Lake Park Elementary is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative, and student-centered Preschool Teacher to join the team for the 2026-2027 school year.
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 3–4. This role focuses on supporting children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through developmentally appropriate activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Support children’s social and emotional development
- Observe and assess children’s progress and development
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians
- Follow all licensing and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
- Previous experience working with young children
- Knowledge of child development principles
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Qualifications
License: Valid Iowa Teaching License.
