Highlight career readiness opportunities available to students

• Videos, posts, and website updates highlighting our relationship with Kirkwood, our CTE success stories, and dual credit opportunities and benefits.
• Seek additional partnerships with local businesses for career exploration by reporting positive experiences for students and employers.

Engage alumni and seek financial support

• Create an alumni and L-T community newsletter. Focus on the journeys, accomplishments and career paths of Lone Tree alumni and celebrate current staff and student success.
• Give Lone Tree network opportunities to support the school, highlight financial stewardship, and show connection between gifts and experiences that have a demonstrable positive impact for students advancing in education, entering the workplace or experiencing personal growth.

Promote enrollment

• Invite students to open enroll with information about academic progress, school culture, small-school experience and attractive student-to-teacher ratios.
• Highlight kindergarten class experience and promote kindergarten open enrollment ahead of the application deadline.

Attract and retain staff

• Highlight positive school culture to attract top candidates for staff openings.
• Recognize staff accomplishments and impact.

Showcase extra-curricular activities and clubs

• Use photos and video interviews to show positive experiences students enjoy through extra-curricular activities.
• • Quality video production makes students feel like their participation and accomplishments are important and valued.

• Draw attention to the care that staff has for student growth and well-being. Show the impact that teachers, coaches and staff make in student’s lives.

• Trust and positive reputation will be valuable when dealing with controversial and difficult decisions or seeking additional support from taxpayers.

Brand development and consistency

• Encourage consistent use of colors, fonts and logos across school signage, communications, social media and website to maintain a professional, appealing appearance.
• Update letterhead and encourage consistent use of district branding in internal and external communications.

Crisis management

• Assist in putting plans in place to respond to situations that may arise. Use networking with other school communications personnel to anticipate and prepare for crisis response.
