Community Christian School is seeking a creative and passionate Art Teacher for Grades K–8 to join our Christ-centered learning community on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore their artistic talents, develop their skills, and express themselves creatively while integrating Christian values into instruction.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach art lessons for students in Grades K–8
- Foster creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression through various art mediums
- Develop age-appropriate projects that align with curriculum goals
- Display and celebrate student artwork within the school community
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom and manage art supplies effectively
- Collaborate with staff and participate in school activities and events as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field preferred
- Experience teaching art to elementary and middle school students preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Commitment to Christian education and the mission of Community Christian School
Faith Requirement:
- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and agreement with the mission and values of Community Christian School
- Ability to model Christian character and integrate faith into classroom instruction
- Applicant must agree with the school's Statement of Faith.
