We are looking for an energetic, creative, and versatile educator to lead our Physical Education and Visual Arts programs for our K-8 students.

The Role

We are seeking a unique individual who can bridge the gap between physical activity and creative expression. This "dual-specialty" role is perfect for a teacher who is passionate about holistic student development—keeping our students active in the gym and inspired in the art studio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Physical Education: Develop and lead engaging PE classes that promote teamwork, fitness, and healthy habits across all grade levels (K-8).
• Visual Arts: Plan and implement a creative art curriculum that explores various mediums, art history, and self-expression.
• Curriculum Development: Create age-appropriate lesson plans that align with school goals and state standards.
• School Culture: Participate in school events, staff meetings, and collaborate with our dedicated team of educators.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive environment in both the gym and the classroom.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Physical Education, Art, or a related field.
• Valid Iowa Teaching License (or eligibility for licensure).
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of students from Kindergarten through 8th Grade.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• A passion for working in a diverse, community-oriented school setting.
