What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time ELL Teacher position at TeachIowa?
Boyden-Hull Elementary School is seeking candidates for a Full-Time ELL Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. EL endorsement or conditional license seeking this endorsement is required.
Instructor would be responsible for assessing EL students in their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Instructor would design instruction for EL newcomers and work alongside general classroom teachers to provide appropriate accommodations for effective learning strategies. Instructor would also be responsible for administering the ELPA 21 assessment annually and sharing results with family and instructional staff.
The At-Risk portion of this position would include monitoring and communicating missing scores to students and families on a weekly basis, take part in weekly intervention meetings, and coordinate the check in and check out intervention program.
