Nanny/Homeschool Teacher (Bilingual Mandarin Chinese, Full-Time Live-In/Relocate)

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person full-time live-in travel nanny/homeschool teacher who is bilingual (speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese & English) to care for and teach three children (all under 4 years old) throughout the year while traveling nationally/internationally and at their home in San Francisco. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right bilingual nanny/teacher: a full-time live-in relocate/travel position that pays $150,000/year. This is an immediate opportunity starting in April or May.

Looking for a live-in bilingual Mandarin/English travel nanny/homeschool teacher for a family based in San Francisco, to provide full-time childcare and early childhood educational activities for three children while living with them on their property and traveling with the family as needed. The nanny/teacher will manage and handle all children’s tasks and logistics (childcare, schedules, meals, inventory management, childhood education, play dates, activities, kids travel needs) while implementing effective age-appropriate curricula ranging from newborn to elementary age.

Looking for a nanny/early childhood teacher who is engaging, organized, flexible, tech-savvy and physically fit. (Applicants should have no trouble pushing a stroller with twins up a hill on the estate, or carrying kids under 4 years old up three flights of stairs.) The right travel nanny/teacher will be a team player, self-starter, and problem solver who is excited about adapting education to real-world contexts, including location and culture. Candidates should have strong communication and organizational skills, and must be comfortable traveling with the family for months at a time and teaching on the go in a travel environment.

The right nanny/homeschool teacher will have experience caring for multiple young children simultaneously, and the proven ability to create age-appropriate educational activities. Prior experience in early childhood formal educational settings and/or homeschooling, microschooling or world schooling is preferred. Candidates will be expected to communicate regularly with parents regarding expectations and student development, and provide fun hands-on learning and enrichment activities that spark age-appropriate creativity, problem-solving and curiosity.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years early childhood education experience or professional nanny experience with children from newborn through early elementary. Prior live-in and extended travel experience working for a private household and early childhood teaching experience is preferred. A BA in early childhood education and/or homeschool experience and/or a certificate in learner-led teaching (Montessori, Reggio, etc.) is a plus. Requirements: Bilingual Mandarin/English and minimum 5 years professional nanny experience with newborn through early elementary children (extended travel/live-in experience preferred) or early childhood education experience. (Minimum 2 years teaching experience with a degree in early childhood education and/or homeschool experience and/or a certificate in learner-led teaching like Montessori is preferred.) Must be well-organized and physically fit enough to carry children. Must be able to relocate and live at the family’s residence in San Francisco and travel as needed, both nationally and internationally up to a few months at a time. Must have good communication skills and be willing to interview via live video chat, and in person in San Francisco, CA.
