Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person elementary teacher to homeschool a 7 year old boy in 1st grade at his home in El Sobrante CA 94803, north of Berkeley. This is a great opportunity for the right teacher: a part-time morning position Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm teaching just one student that pays $85/hour ($1275/week). This is an immediate opportunity for the current school year.
Looking for a teacher to homeschool a 7 year old boy who is roughly at grade level and enjoys learning, but has ADHD. The teacher will plan and implement daily lessons using the student’s parent-approved curriculum. (The parents are willing to collaborate with the teacher regarding which curriculum will be used, but it must be accredited and align with state standards.)
The right teacher will be patient, articulate, empathetic, intelligent and engaging. Looking for a teacher who is genuine, creative and energetic enough to support a curious 7 year old’s charisma and academic growth. A teacher who enjoys science projects and the outdoors is a plus, and the family would prefer that the teacher continue through summer at least until August. Some prior experience with students who have ADHD is preferred, and although not required, speaking a second language is also a plus.
Teacher candidates should have a minimum BA and California state teacher certification. At least 2 years of elementary teaching experience is preferred, but not required. The right teacher will have good communication with both student and parents, and will also be able to incorporate project-based learning. Requirements:
Must have at least a BA and California state teacher certification. Two years of elementary classroom teaching experience is preferred, but not required. Must be comfortable teaching all subjects at the 1st grade level, and must be available to teach through most of the summer until August. Prior experience with ADHD is preferred. A teacher who enjoys the outdoors and science projects is a plus, and the ability to speak a 2nd language is also a plus. Must have your own reliable transportation & cell phone, and must be able to travel to the location of the student in El Sobrante, CA 94803 Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm.
