We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our preschool. This role is the first point of contact for families and visitors, helping create a welcoming and professional atmosphere while ensuring smooth administrative processes.
Duties
- Greet and assist parents, children, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls, emails, and general inquiries
- Maintain student records and ensure confidentiality
- Assist with tours, enrollment and registration
- Manage attendance records and updating Waitlist
- Support scheduling, staff coordination, and calendar management
- Maintain office and classroom supplies
- Assist with event planning and parent communications
- Ensure compliance with licensing and administrative requirements
- Supervise in the absence of the Director
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Previous administrative or office experience (experience in a school or childcare setting is a plus)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar systems
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor
Nice To Haves
- Experience with childcare management software (Kangarootime)
- Familiarity with early childhood education environments
