Responsibilities
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, power tools, and irrigation systems to keep landscapes pristine.
- Perform mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and planting to maintain healthy lawns and gardens.
- Identify various plants, shrubs, trees, and pests to ensure proper landscape health and pest management.
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and system functionality for optimal plant growth.
- Conduct landscape repairs such as hardscape installation, tree trimming, and soil preparation to improve outdoor aesthetics.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist with seasonal tasks like snow plowing or additional grounds maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior outdoor work experience or landscaping background is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and hand tools is essential for safe operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture practices, pesticide management, and irrigation systems is a plus.
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance machinery including mowers, power tools, excavators (if applicable), and other landscaping equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to outdoor work environments.
- Construction experience or knowledge of hardscape installation is advantageous.
- Excellent physical stamina for prolonged outdoor activity in various weather conditions.
