Duties
- Mow lawns using push mowers, standing mowers, or other power tools to achieve a clean, even cut.
- Trim trees, shrubs, and hedges with hand tools or powered equipment to maintain aesthetic appeal and plant health.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as edging and weeding to enhance outdoor spaces.
- Operate machinery including excavators and other construction equipment for hardscape installation or site preparation.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge for operating and maintaining lawn care equipment and power tools effectively.
- Proficiency in lawn care techniques including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control.
- Experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, tree care, and pruning techniques such as tree trimming.
- Familiarity with landscaping projects like hardscape installations (patios, walkways) and irrigation systems.
- Ability to use hand tools safely and efficiently for various gardening and construction tasks.
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials when needed.
