- Conduct diagnostic assessments on refrigeration and HVAC systems, including ice machines, walk-in coolers/freezers, cold cases, and exhaust fans, tailored to the specific equipment types and sizes.
- Proficiently operate hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment.
- Perform disassembly and reassembly of industrial or commercial cooking, refrigeration and/or HVAC equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance as indicated in the service agreement.
- Completes service contracts, quoted projects and demand service calls while maintaining profitability.
- Cultivate enduring client partnerships and effectively communicate the service details to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participates in technician on-call-stand-by rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures.
- Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.
- Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer as evidenced by past driving performance record.
- Meets requirements of company vehicle driving policy, and adheres to all company safety requirements.
- Complete documentation of invoicing data based on hours worked and materials/equipment used to complete the service.
- Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers. Uses technology/software to create and modify programming such as graphics, data bases, sequences, etc.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Commercial Refrigeration.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Two-year technical degree in related field is preferred.
- Must hold essential registrations, professional licenses, and certifications mandated for the role.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair the following:
- Ice Machines
- Reach-in & Walk-In Coolers
- Reach-In & Walk-In Freezers
- Make Line and Supermarket Cases
- Must be able to read schematics and blue prints.
- Diagnostic ability as demonstrated through prior experience and/or training.
- Performs as a self-managed individual.
- Professional demeanor, solid interpersonal skills with good written and oral communication capability.
- Demonstrates strong business ethics at all times.
