Schedule: On-Call
Clearance: Active Secret required
Contract Type: SCA
Pay: $17.75/hr $4.95 H&W
We’re seeking a dependable Mail Clerk to support mailroom operations for a federal customer in the PEO STRI Orlando area. This role handles daily delivery and pickup of U.S. mail, internal mail, and packages across multiple nearby buildings.
Please note: This is an on-call position intended to provide coverage for our full-time Driver Courier during absences such as call-offs, PTO days, or other scheduling needs. Hours are not set or guaranteed and will vary based on operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Sort, deliver, and pick up mail and packages across up to 10 on-site buildings
- Hand-carry items between departments and transport heavier packages (up to 70 lbs)
- Ability to operate sedans, 7–8 passenger vans, and a commercial box truck with lift as requested
- Use a mail cart for delivery routes
- Follow delivery schedules and ensure proper handling of government documents
- Perform frequent standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive motions
Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance
- Valid government driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform continuous physical activity
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work on-call with short notice
- Experience with courier, mailroom, or delivery work preferred
