Mental Health Counselor (Limited Permit) – 100% Remote, Flexible Hours

TD Psychotherapy is a private practice that provides psychotherapy for adults. We are currently seeking a compassionate, motivated and responsible MHC-LP, to work on a fee for service basis. We offer flexibility, 100% remote sessions and development in your professional growth in the private practice setting. You choose your hours that work best for your schedule.

The practice is telehealth and the clinician must be located and working within New York State.

We are seeking a part/full time (15 client contact hours weekly) Limited Permit Mental Health Counselors (MHC-LP) graduates to provide mental health counseling to a diversified patient population using evidence-based therapy approaches. EMDR trained is a plus but not required.

We are Licensed Mental Health Counselors, which means by the NY State Board, therefore, we are unable to accept Marriage and Family therapists or Social Workers. Applications without these credentials will not be reviewed.

We accept many insurances including Medicaid, and receive many patient requests for appointments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete progress notes and updated calendar within 24 hours of time of service.
• Provide initial intake, diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans and progress notes.
• Maintain client’s charts, keep complete and correct documentation and follow all Hipaa guidelines.
• Skilled in working with a variety of cultures
• Work independently and implementing time management strategies
• Case management including care coordination, collaborating with referral sources and connecting clients to care.
• Participate weekly in mandatory supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling or similar
• Certificate of Professional Liability Insurance needed upon hire
• Ability to work independently as well as communicate emergency situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with various theoretical approaches.
• Must be New York State residency
