Ensures the available sales programs, related tools and resources are effectively utilized within the Market, including but not limited to: Bank @ Work, Affinity, local and corporate level Sales Campaigns, Small Business Develop, Coaching to EARN, SR Calculator, TD University, reward & recognition, and TD Domination
Effectively manages the goal setting process within the Market at the regional and store levels
Coordinates and directs the efforts (as applicable) of the Market Sales Manager, TD Ameritrade Investment Consultants, Field Marketing Manager, Regional Consumer Lending Teams, Metro Market Small Business Sales Manager, Insurance Regional Sales Specialist, and the FSR Metro Market Sales Manager to drive performance based on the Markets needs and strategic plan
Provides formalized coaching to Regional Market Managers (RMMs) to ensure clear accountabilities are set and that sales performance goals are achieved
Provides direct management and leadership of the Regional Market Manager (RMM) Team through clearly defined accountabilities and expectations, formalized coaching and on-going development
Consistently spends time with the RMMs in the field visiting Stores, participating in regional initiatives, roundtable, meetings or other activities coordinated by each RMM
Supports business development activities through joint calling efforts with the RMMs and/or Store -
Job Requirements
Coordinates with the associated Market President(s), Middle Market Leader(s), Government Banking Group Manager(s), Cash Management Sales Leader(s) and Commercial Real Estate Regional Director(s) to retain and grow the overall loan and deposit portfolio of the associated Market and achieve/exceed the assigned goals
Fosters our Business Model through the effective communication and information sharing between the business lines and the retail network
Assists in providing clear expectations and understanding of the RMMs roles and responsibilities with relations to our business partners and the RMMs strategic partnership with the Commercial Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs)
Works closely with the associated Market level business partners, the Field Marketing Manager and the Community Relations Manager to identify and execute on local marketing and community development opportunities
Leads Small Business sales strategy and works with the associated Market President(s) and Small Business Banking Sales Manager to develop a strategic plan around the Markets Small Business Banking goals and accountabilities at the Regional, Store and Small Business Relationship Manager (SBRMs) level
Directs business development efforts of the retail network to maximize performance in Money-Out, Money-In, Sales Revenue, Profitability and business partner referrals
Coordinates with and provides direction to the Senior Regional Operations Office (Sr. ROO) with regards to overall Store Operations objectives and goals within the Market
Ensures the Markets compliance with and adherence to the operational policies, corporate procedures, federal/state regulatory requirements, corporate audit standards, compliance training requirements and accountabilities associated with the Retail line of business
Provides clear expectations and understand of the Regional Operations Officers (ROO) role with relations to the RMMs roles and responsibilities
Supports and provides leadership that consistently considers the impact local decisions have to our corporate operational objectives and maintains those high standards
Regularly reviews the Markets operational performance and works with the Sr. ROO to address any related concerns or issues within the Market, including but not limited to Corporate Audits and store level Operational Excellence Reviews (OERs)
Leads the Markets adherence to the Risk and Compliance guidelines of the organization
Understands the Risk Appetite for TD Bank and the Market and communicates the risk appetite to others
Ensures that operations within Market are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals, and physical control of assets), and activities adhere to applicable TD Bank policies
Is aware of and adheres to the associated responsibilities of Audit, Basel II, Corporate Compliance, Credit Risk, and Operational Risk within the Market
Seeks input and guidance from corporate risk and compliance as needed to effectively handle any related matters
Maintains responsibility for the Markets retail financial results, directing specific analysis as needed to ensuring that financial information is accurate and in compliance with the overall banks and business lines objectives
Responsible for budgeting including Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs), total fee income and total controllable expenses for the Market
Oversees the Retail Store facilities and physical footprint of the Market
Understands the Markets demographics, strengths, opportunities, competitive environment and challenges in order to effective evaluate DeNovo locations as well as potential opportunities to close and/or consolidate Stores within the Market
If applicable, works with executive management to evaluate potential acquisition targets
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
15 Years of related experience
Retail banking experience in progressively responsible management positions up to and including senior management assignments
In-depth knowledge of Retail banking including extensive experience in Retail and Small Business sales leadership and development
Proven senior management and leadership experience, with strong financial services background
Experience establishing and implementing effective strategies and plans that achieve top line growth and bottom line results
Proven ability to analyze business situations and effectively collaborate on overall corporate direction
Effectiveness in consulting on operational problems and implementing workable solutions
Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking an positive public presence
Effective negotiation and influencing skills
Requires extensive travel
