Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for checkout transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Conduct product demonstrations and tastings to educate customers about specialty items and encourage sales
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays by stocking shelves, organizing products, and ensuring proper signage
- Promote upselling opportunities by suggesting complementary products and current promotions
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or specialty food environment
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members
