Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented BIM (Building Information Modeling) Manager to lead our digital modeling initiatives for our K-12 educational projects. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, coordination, and management of Building Information Models to ensure seamless collaboration among design, engineering, and construction teams. Your expertise will drive efficiency, accuracy, and innovation throughout project lifecycles, transforming complex concepts into precise digital representations.
Duties
- Lead the creation and management of comprehensive BIM models using industry-standard software such as Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts to ensure model consistency, clash detection, and accurate data exchange across architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
- Develop and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and workflows to optimize project delivery and maintain high-quality modeling practices.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate BIM into all phases of design and construction.
- Oversee the integration of CAD drawings with 2D animation tools for visualizations and presentations that enhance stakeholder understanding.
- Conduct regular model audits, updates, and revisions to ensure data integrity and compliance with project specifications.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on BIM software tools such as Revit, Schematics drafting tools, and 2D animation techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing BIM projects within the architectural offices.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software including Revit, NavisWorks, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and related CAD tools.
- Strong background in mechanical design principles and schematic development for complex systems.
- Excellent drafting skills with a keen eye for detail in 2D schematics and technical drawings.
