Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and move materials efficiently.
• Install underground utilities such as sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, water supply lines, and wastewater systems following blueprint specifications and construction plans.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure accurate pipe placement and system layout.
• Perform construction trenching for utility installations while adhering to safety regulations and project timelines.
• Use utility locating tools and techniques to identify existing underground utilities before excavation to prevent damage or accidents.
• Conduct concrete finishing, pipe laser alignment, welding, and concrete forming tasks as needed for utility system installations.
• Follow federal construction safety regulations and safety protocol adherence to maintain a secure work environment at all times.

Skills

• Proficiency in heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader operation, backhoe operation, excavator handling, forklift use, and front loader trucks.
• Skilled in pipe installation techniques for sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, water supply systems, and underground utilities installation projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately.
• Experience with utility trenching, sewer line installation, pipeline work, plumbing systems, and oil & gas infrastructure.
• Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and federal safety standards related to underground utility projects.
• Familiarity with concrete finishing processes, concrete forming techniques, welding skills, and the use of hand tools for various tasks.
• Competence in utility locating methods to identify existing underground infrastructure before excavation work begins.

Pay: $20.00 - $31.00 per hour
