- Respond swiftly to emergency calls, providing immediate medical attention at the scene of accidents, medical crises, or disasters.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses.
- Administer basic life support (BLS), medication injections, and other emergency procedures following established protocols.
- Manage airways effectively using airway management techniques and equipment to ensure unobstructed breathing for patients.
- Transport patients safely to hospitals or trauma centers while maintaining continuous patient monitoring and care during transit.
- Collaborate with hospital staff during critical care transport and triage to ensure seamless handoffs and continuity of care.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient conditions, treatments administered, vital signs, and incident reports following aseptic techniques and medical terminology standards.
- Proven EMT experience with a strong foundation in emergency medicine procedures and protocols.
- Critical care experience within hospital or Level I/Level II trauma centers enhances your ability to handle complex situations.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately assess and treat patients.
- Skilled in airway management, venipuncture, injection administration, and medication delivery under urgent conditions.
- Experience with patient assessment techniques including vital signs monitoring and physical examinations.
- Familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) use in emergency settings for patient stabilization.
- Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely through driving skills while managing heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures such as injections or venipuncture.
