Overview:
Support global accounting operations and provide leadership on complex accounting matters as the Technical Accounting Manager. Ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards, support financial reporting processes, and partner with intercompany teams on key business initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical accounting efforts across multiple business units, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Research and interpret accounting guidance under US GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable standards
- Evaluate and implement new accounting pronouncements and policies
- Prepare detailed technical accounting memos and documentation supporting key conclusions
- Partner with internal teams and external auditors to support financial reporting and resolve accounting issues
- Assess accounting implications of complex transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures
- Oversee fixed asset accounting processes from initial recognition through reporting
- Support preparation of financial statement disclosures related to technical accounting areas
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency
- Serve as a key point of contact for external consultants and ensure timely delivery of work
- Mentor and develop junior team members on technical accounting topics
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects and contribute to strategic initiatives
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree preferred
- CPA or equivalent certification required
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong background in technical accounting, financial reporting, and accounting research
- Experience with ASC 805 (Business Combinations) and ASC 810 (Consolidations)
- Exposure to complex accounting transactions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Public accounting experience (Big Four preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex accounting topics clearly
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Salary : $135,000 - $155,000
