seeking an individual responsible for the property level accounting and financial analysis of a portfolio of residential, commercial and industrial assets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist with the input of all general ledger journal entries such as bank transfer, interest income, loan statements, expense reclassification, reserve contributions, etc. for buildings owned and/or managed by Company
- Prepare and present monthly financial packages and cash flow reports to the executive team, investors and board members
- Prepare and oversee the annual budgets for all managed properties including; preparing the budget packages, maintaining the budget approval schedule, discussing variances with board members and/or investors
- Ensure funds are properly escrowed for real estate tax payments
- Provide commercial tenants with annual CAM and RE Tax reconciliations
- Provide support to internal and external teams regarding aspects of certiorari
- Produce and assist in providing year-end schedules for audit and tax purposes
- Review and ensure that all rent step ups, concessions and critical lease data is properly accounted
- Provide for mortgage reporting including quarterly and annual certification requirements
- Reconcile development project requisitions with accounting department and development team
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have 2 years of experience in the property management industry or real estate field as an accountant, financial analyst or similar role
- Must be an expert in Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Previous experience with Yardi Voyager or Genesis is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
Salary : $85,000 - $125,000
