We are seeking a Facilities Supervisor for a temporary, full-time position supporting our Empower program. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in facility maintenance, supervisory experience, and the required certifications (or a willingness to obtain them within an agreed timeframe).
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
- Pay Rate: 32.00 per hour
- Type: Temporary, Full-Time
Duties
- Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance staff.
- Develop and execute a preventative maintenance plan, including fire safety, OSHA, and other system requirements.
- Manage and monitor work orders, ensuring timely completion.
- Track maintenance activities, work orders, inventory, and purchases using a computerized maintenance system.
- Respond to emergency calls outside of regular working hours.
- Assist in preparing the capital budget.
- Ensure timely completion and filing of all regulatory inspections.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- 3 years of building maintenance experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
Required Certifications (Any 3 of the following licenses)
- P-98: Fuel-oil Piping and Storage Systems (must-have).
- S-12: Citywide Sprinkler Systems / S-11 Residential Sprinkler Systems.
- S-13: Citywide Standpipe Systems.
- S-95: Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems and related systems.
- F-80: Coordinator of Fire Safety and Alarm Systems in Homeless Shelters.
