Commercial Leasing Director
Location: Great Neck, NY
Schedule: In-office, 5 days per week
Travel: Travel to commercial properties throughout the New York metropolitan area as needed

About the Opportunity
A well-established, privately held commercial real estate owner, manager, and developer is seeking an experienced Commercial Leasing Director or Manager to join its in-house leasing team.
This position focuses on procuring and securing tenants for a diverse portfolio of retail and office properties throughout the New York metropolitan area, from initial prospecting and broker relationships to negotiation, documentation, and deal execution.
The level of the position will be determined based on the candidate's experience and track record, with opportunities available for professionals ranging from approximately 3 years through 30 years of relevant commercial leasing experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead leasing efforts for retail and office properties throughout the New York metropolitan area.
- Identify and pursue prospective tenants and leasing opportunities.
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with commercial real estate brokers and tenant representatives.
- Negotiate lease terms while effectively representing the landlord's interests.
- Manage transactions from initial discussions through negotiation, documentation, and execution.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external professionals to move transactions forward efficiently.
- Evaluate leasing opportunities and provide thoughtful recommendations based on market conditions, property objectives, and financial considerations.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of leasing activity, negotiations, and transactions.
- Support efforts to maximize occupancy, tenant quality, and long-term value across the portfolio.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of commercial real estate leasing experience; level and title will be commensurate with experience.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully completing commercial real estate leasing transactions.
- Strong preference for experience with retail leasing and the New York metropolitan market.
- Experience representing or working on behalf of a landlord/owner is highly valued.
- Experience with commercial and income-producing properties.
- Strong negotiation and deal-execution skills.
- Excellent analytical and financial skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively with brokers, tenants, internal teams, and professionals at all levels.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with standard business applications.

Ideal Background
The ideal candidate will have experience working within the leasing department of a commercial real estate owner, developer, or property management organization and will be comfortable managing transactions from prospecting through execution.

Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
