Closing Specialist

Location: Charleston, SC or Remote

A growing commercial lending firm is seeking a Closing Specialist to manage loan documentation and support the funding process.

Responsibilities

• Review closing files for accuracy, completeness, compliance, and potential risk.
• Verify loan agreements, financial statements, tax returns, payoff letters, and identification documents.
• Conduct UCC searches, clear liens, and manage UCC filings.
• Generate and manage loan contracts, amendments, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate closely with Underwriting, Sales, and Accounting throughout closing and funding.
• Conduct funding calls, business interviews, and bank verifications.
• Maintain accurate records using Salesforce, DocuSign, Asana, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Strong organization, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with customer relationship management systems, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
• Commercial lending or loan processing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of business loans, lines of credit, or alternative lending products is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred

Compensation

• Base salary: $60,000-$75,000
