Administrative Assistant – Legal (Real Estate)
A well-established property management firm is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support its busy legal department. This role sits at the intersection of legal coordination and tenant relations, requiring strong attention to detail, urgency, and the ability to manage sensitive, time-critical processes. Ideal candidates will have experience working with tenants and exposure to legal proceedings within real estate or a law firm environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue late notices, Three Day Notices, and other required legal documentation
- Coordinate dispossess actions, holdover proceedings, and eviction scheduling with attorneys and property managers
- Manage legal calendars, track stipulation payments, and follow up on non-compliance
- Review and process lease renewals; maintain deeds and building registration records
- Communicate daily with tenants, superintendents, and property managers regarding legal and compliance matters
- Submit collection cases, monitor payment activity, and review attorney and process server invoices
- Request certified documents from regulatory agencies and maintain accurate legal records
- Support attorneys and property managers with court preparation and case documentation
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in legal services and real estate (property management or law firm background preferred)
- Experience working directly with tenants and familiarity with legal processes (evictions, notices, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
