Accounting Supervisor

TBG | The Bachrach Group is partnered with one of the leading chemical manufacturing companies globally on their search for an ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of progressive accounting experience within the chemical industry, energy, oil and gas or public accounting with 1 year minimum in a leadership capacity including a bachelor's degree in accounting / finance or any related field and preferably a CPA. This role will lead the department in completing all corporate accounting functions while managing audits and other accounting-related implementations and projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Manage full-cycle general ledger accounting for corporate entities, including journal entries, month-end close, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and supervision of senior accountants.
• Handle consolidation activities, including foreign currency translation, intercompany reconciliations, and eliminations.
• Prepare monthly internal financial reports for management, ensuring accuracy and completeness of accounting records through detailed analysis.
• Lead special analyses and projects.
• Prepare supporting schedules and reports for external financial reporting, SEC filings, quarterly reviews, and annual audits with external auditors.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls within the corporate accounting function; establish and implement new procedures as needed.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP; stay current on new accounting pronouncements and integrate updates into company practices.
• Identify and recommend improvements in accounting processes, workflows, and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards of operational excellence.
• Actively support corporate initiatives focused on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and process optimization.
• Minimum of 8 years industry experience plus 1 year in leadership - chemical manufacturing, energy, oil and gas, public accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance or related field. A CPA is highly preferred.

Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days onsite

Salary range: $115,000 to $125, 000 DOE bonus
