Key Responsibilities
- 10 years of accounting experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role, and manufacturing experience
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, and general ledger activities.
- Support the Controller in managing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Perform and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Direct collection efforts on delinquent accounts, including negotiations, payment arrangements, and bankruptcy-related matters.
- Prepare and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts to support business planning and liquidity management.
- Review and approve employee expense reimbursements, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely processing.
- Manage vendor payment activities, optimize payment terms, and maximize available discount opportunities.
- Maintain banking relationships and oversee all banking transactions, reconciliations, and cash management functions.
- Develop and distribute financial reports and management packages to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Calculate, prepare, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate audit preparation activities and serve as a key liaison for external auditors during annual financial audits.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members through training, coaching, and performance management.
- Establish, maintain, and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and documented procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, as well as company policies and accounting standards.
- Monitor changes in accounting regulations and reporting requirements, recommending process updates when necessary.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Salary : $125,000 - $135,000
