About the Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated life insurance professional who knows how to build lasting relationships with independent agents and advisors. This is a focused role with a clear purpose: connecting advisors who already have strong Cincinnati Insurance Company property and casualty relationships to the life insurance opportunity they have not yet tapped.
If you have a background in life insurance, you understand the independent agent space, and you enjoy getting out in the field and having real conversations with people, then this role is for you.
What You Will Do
- Identify and reach out to independent agents in the Knoxville region who already write Cincinnati Insurance Company P&C business, and help them start writing life insurance as well
- Build genuine brokerage relationships through phone outreach, in-person visits, and consistent follow-up
- Introduce advisors to our life insurance portfolio and guide them through their first submissions
- Keep detailed records of your outreach and pipeline activity in our CRM
- Work directly with our VP of Sales to set goals and track your production results
- Represent us at regional events and agency visits
- As you establish the Knoxville market, help us grow the same model across the Southeast
What We Are Looking For
- At least 2 years of experience in the life insurance industry
- Solid understanding of life insurance products and how independent agents operate
- A natural relationship-builder who is comfortable on the phone and in person
- Experience with CRM tools for tracking activity and managing a pipeline
- A valid life insurance license in Tennessee, or the ability to get one before your start date
- Reliable transportation and comfort with regular travel in the Knoxville area
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Cincinnati Insurance Company agents or the broader Southeast independent agency market
- Prior experience in brokerage development, wholesaling, or agency sales
- Experience helping P&C-focused agents expand into life insurance production
