Domestic Operations Agent

Responsibilities: The Domestic Operations Agent owns the execution of standout service through shipment coordination, tracking and routing, rapid problem resolution, vendor compliance, and clear, confident customer communication.
· Quote and route freight across multiple transportation channels and service levels.
· Provide fast, accurate customer quotes to win and retain business.
· Partner with Sales to turn quotes into booked shipments through timely follow-up and clear communication.
· Track and trace shipments moving by air and ground to keep freight—and customers—on schedule.
· Troubleshoot issues quickly and proactively while coordinating with customers and vendors.
· Support Sales by resolving air/ground freight challenges and answering operational questions.
· Provide clear, responsive updates to customers, partners and agents on shipment status and next steps.
· Ensure all air and ground bookings and routings comply with TSA regulations.
· Manage booking requests from start to finish—securing current, accurate rates and selecting the most cost-effective and time-efficient routing.
· Coordinate seamlessly with carriers and origin and destination teams on status, special handling, and delivery requirements.
· Stay ahead of issues by proactively updating customers, escalating concerns, and support resolution with management.
· Jump in where needed across departments to organize, coordinate, and deliver on customer shipping requirements.
