We’re currently working on a VP Controller level opportunity supporting insurance investment portfolios within a global investment platform in New York.
The position works closely with investment teams, platform finance, and insurance partners to ensure accurate reporting, regulatory alignment, and scalable operational processes.
It’s a highly visible role within the platform and a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across both investment teams and finance leadership while supporting sophisticated insurance-focused investment structures.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing onboarding and reporting for insurance investment portfolios
- Managing monthly and quarterly reporting across complex investment structures
- Supporting regulatory and accounting frameworks including GAAP, SAP, and NAIC
- Partnering with investment teams and insurance clients on reporting and operational needs
- Driving process improvements and scalable operational workflows
Requirements:
- Experience with insurance investment accounting or insurance focused portfolios
- Strong knowledge of GAAP / SAP reporting and NAIC regulatory frameworks
- Exposure to asset classes such as private credit, direct lending, structured credit, or mortgage-related assets
- Ability to operate across investment teams, finance, operations, and external stakeholders
