Lead complex, transaction‑focused legal support for land acquisition, land development, title, entitlement, HOA, and other real estate matters. Synthesize findings, identify issues, and prepare clear, actionable analyses to support attorney and business decision‑making on high‑stakes projects.
Draft, review, and manage advanced legal documents—including purchase and sale agreements, amendments, easements, access agreements, escrow documents, notices, and closing deliverables—ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with legal and company standards.
Coordinate the full lifecycle of major real estate transactions, serving as the central point of contact for timelines, approvals, deliverables, and documentation from initial contract through closing and post‑closing follow‑up.
Oversee real estate due diligence processes, including requesting, reviewing, organizing, and summarizing title commitments, exception documents, surveys, plats, site plans, HOA/CC&R documents, and related materials. Ensure compliance, defensibility, and timely completion.
Maintain and enhance matter‑management systems and workflows, including deal files, approval packages, correspondence, and closing binders, ensuring accuracy, organization, and adherence to internal controls.
Partner closely with Deputy and Associate General Counsels, as well as Land Acquisition, Land Development, Finance, and Division leadership. Anticipate needs, identify risks early, and proactively support the execution of complex land and real estate strategies.
Serve as a subject‑matter resource on real estate and land transactions, providing guidance on processes, due diligence standards, and closing requirements to support consistency and quality across the team.
