What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic position at Taylor Northeast?

We are seeking a Field Technician with strong vehicle mechanic experience to join our Baltimore team and provide service to forklifts and other equipment throughout the greater metro area. You will be the point person for our most important customers (which is to say, all of them), so the ability to work, think, and operate independently is a must. You must also have your own tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES
For this position, you will need to:
- Inspect, diagnose, and service heavy lift equipment (diesel, electric, or LP fueled).
- Identify potential technical problems and determine required repairs.
- Maintain equipment service records.
- Conduct regular PM checks onsite at customer locations.
- Test mechanical equipment after repair or assembly to guarantee proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
- Have hydraulic experience.
- Have diesel experience.
- Have an aptitude for electrical systems.
- Be a safe driver with a clean driving record.
- Be able to pass preemployment physical exam, background check, and drug screen.
