Bus Aide

Job Summary:

As a School Bus Aide, you will assist in ensuring the safety and comfort of student during their bus rides to and from school. Your primary responsibilities include supervising student, maintaining order, and providing assistance to the bus driver as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students boarding and exiting bus safely.
• Supervise student during transit, ensuring compliance with safety rules.
• Provide support to students with special needs, including securing wheel chairs and harnesses when applicable.
• Communicate effectively with the bus driver regarding any safety or behavioral concerns.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized bus environment.
• Respond to emergencies or incidents in a calm and professional manner.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No criminal history (background checks will be conducted).
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations.
• A commitment to the safety and well being of children.
• Availability to work early mornings and afternoons, following school schedules.
